Hansoft adopted by Avalanche Studios

Hansoft announced today that Avalanche Studios, creators of the award-winning franchise Just Cause, has successfully adopted Hansoft.

“For us, Hansoft was a major turning point in the project. Together with a fresh road map, Hansoft helped us structure and get an overview of our work, which has been immensely helpful. The more we use it, the more we want to use it,” said Dan Thronström, Senior Producer, Avalanche.

Hansoft’s fast performance in combination with an intuitive interface makes it an easy to use tool that typically becomes a natural part of the daily work at the studio. Agile, Lean, scheduling, bug tracking, workload coordination, portfolio- and document management: Hansoft brings it all together, makes it easier to get an overview of the project and ship on time with top quality.

“No studio wants to end up doing a death march. Where other tools fall short providing only flat lists of things to fix, Hansoft helps teams achieve a more proactive and structured approach. It’s no silver bullet, but certainly gives the team a better shot managing their production successfully. Avalanche Studios are not only doing exciting games but now also setting up an office in New York and we are thrilled to start working with them,” said Patric Palm, Hansoft CEO.

Virtuos selects Hansoft as backbone of “The Virtuos Experience” program

Hansoft and Virtuos today announced that Virtuos, the offshore game development leader, has successfully implemented Hansoft project management and QA tool to nearly 600 production staff across 4 different locations.

Virtuos development centers take responsibility for an ever-growing range of projects: from standalone projects involving a few specialists for a few months all the way to large multi-platform full game co-developments requiring thousands of man-months.

In 2011, Virtuos teams are rolling-out “The Virtuos Experience” program, which aims to provide extra levels of reliability and visibility to their clients. The company was looking for a solution which could help it take a new step in agility while providing real-time transparency to clients. Encouraging more initiative and improved team-work by enabling each team member to contribute to project management was also a requirement.

“We tested Hansoft alongside other solutions for many months before making our choice. Hansoft spared no efforts to demonstrate that their software offered the key functions Virtuos needed combined with ease of deployment,” said Pan Feng, Virtuos Production Director.

Hansoft recently introduced version 6.5, localized in mainland Chinese and Japanese, to simplify global collaboration. The real time updated data, user friendly interface and easily customizable restricted access for external partners, in combination with a flexible licensing model, make Hansoft a great tool for outsourcing and remote collaboration.

“With the implementation of Hansoft, Virtuos is leading the way among offshore services providers by showing the importance of great communication and collaboration not only within their talented teams but also directly with their demanding clients. Virtuos is a good example of how easy Hansoft is to implement, also in very large organizations. We are very excited about working with them,” said Patric Palm, Hansoft CEO.
